This third installment, subtitled The Independent, highlights WhistlePig’s bold rye foundation while showcasing the results of independent finishing in custom casks chosen by the distillery’s team.

The whiskey pours a rich amber hue and opens with intense spice and layered aromatics. On the nose, bold rye spice meets dark caramel, toasted oak, and hints of dried fruit. The palate brings forward deep notes of cinnamon bark, brown sugar, dark cherry, and black pepper, balanced by oak tannins and a touch of herbal complexity. The finish is long and warming, with persistent spice, caramel sweetness, and lingering dry oak notes that reflect both the rye base and the distinct influence of its finishing regimen.
