W.L. Weller 12 Year Old Wheated Bourbon

W.L. Weller 12 Year Old Wheated Bourbon

Tasting Notes / Description

W.L. Weller 12 Year Old Wheated Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Bottled at 90° proof (45% ABV), it utilizes a wheated mashbill, replacing rye with wheat as the secondary grain, resulting in a softer, smoother profile. Aged for 12 years, this bourbon offers a deep bronze color and a balanced, easy-going character.

On the nose, it presents aromas of lanolin, almond, creamed corn, and toasty vanilla. The palate is heavily wheated, layered, and moderately sweet, featuring flavors of caramel, vanilla, and oak. The finish is long, oaky, and intensely smooth.
